I had the opportunity to handle a new Seiko 5 model that was released recently in Singapore (and other countries). This is another Seiko 5 Sports model that Seiko releases every few months. The model number is SNZJ21K.
I believe most people already know what to expect in a Seiko 5 so I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Let’s take a look.
This time round, I had the opportunity to handle yet another Orient X STI limited edition watch. This model is the second limited edition for the 2010 Nürburgring 24-hour Race. On their website, this watch is referred to as “Orient X SRI 2010 Limited Edition II” but within the Orient network, it is called “Orient X STI Stage II”.

Orient celebrated its 60th Anniversary this year. Besides the 60th Anniversary handwind models, there was also a pair of quartz ‘Swimmer’ models released in the Thailand to commemorate the event.
The Orient Swimmer is a basic quartz watch that features 100m water resistance and a screw in crown. This product line is sold in the Japanese market but the Thai Orient distributor made arrangement to produce a 60th anniversary model for the Thailand market. Like the handwind models, the commemorative Swimmer model has the “Orient 60th Anniversary” printed on its dial in cursive font.

This time round, I had the opportunity to handle a recently released Seiko Prospex model that was designed to be a “field watch”. This watch is powered by the new 4R35 movement which comes with stop second and hand wind features. The special thing about this watch is that it is equipped with a magnifying glass that can be flipped open.

The picture above says it all. The SBDC013 is now on the original strap designed for the limited edition SBDC015 and it’s on a timegrapher showing good accuracy.
I finally got the opportunity to handle the new Orient GMT. This is an international model that was released in four colour variants. The specimen that I have here is the black dialed variant – model# FFE06001B.
