I chanced upon this aluminium watch case on a local website that sells it at SGD25 + SGD8 for shipping by registered mail. So far, I do not have any aluminium watch case and was tempted to buy one just for the fun of it. However, I was skeptical about the site as it loads rather slowly and sells almost anything under the sun.

Seiko celebrates 100 years of watchmaking this year with the release of several limited edition watches. Some of these watches have been released while others are still in pipeline. One of the watches that will be released in July will be a Grand Seiko that is based on the design of the vintage 44GS from 1967.

Bought this fairly new G-Shock model yesterday. For G-Shocks, I prefer the bigger ones like the Frogman and the King G-Shock (GX-56). This one is not as big but acceptable I guess.

Orient Star Standard Date Model – DV02002B

This week, I had the opportunity to handle a new standard date Orient Star model. This is the first Orient Star model that features the SAR coating (Super Anti-reflective Coating), a technology that reduces light reflection by 99% according to Orient’s website. Two other types of coatings were applied to crystal to achieve greater scratch and stain resistant.
