This time round, I had the opportunity to try out the Twill Nato strap from vario.sg. This is a single pass Nato strap that is made from Twill nylon fabric. I have four pieces of the 20mm models here. Let’s take a look.

The Twill Nato by vario.sg is made from soft nylon which is double weaved to make it more durable. The weave pattern is characterized by its unique diagonal lines which give the strap a very rich and luxurious look.

The strap is 280mm long excluding the buckle and has a thickness of 1.2mm. It comes with 13 heat welded holes that make it suitable for most wrist sizes. The buckle and loops are made from stainless steel material and are fully brush finished.

The Twill Nato comes in several colour options. Here are some examples.

1. Zebra Black

This black and white diagonal lines give the strap a very smart look. I think it is a very good strap for modern dress watches. If you are looking to put your dress watch on a nylon band, this strap is for you. Here, I have it on my Seiko SARG009.

2. Imperial Yellow

This colour feels a bit oriental and I thought it should work well with vintage inspired dress watches. Here, I have selected the Tissot Heritage Petite Seconde to go with it.

3. Olive Green

The Olive Green model is just like a military strap. It should work well with military inspired watches or pilot watches. I have it fitted on my Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical.

4. Black with Crimson Divider

This combination of black with a red stripe in the middle is widely available across different types of Nato/Zulu straps. It works very well with most dial colours. Here, I have it on my white dial Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical.

Final thoughts:
Overall, the Twill Nato strap by vario.sg is very well made and offers good value for money. The nylon material is of good quality and the stitching is nicely done. The single pass set up helps to prevents thicker watches from sitting too tall on the wrist.
