This time round I had the opportunity to try out a one-piece NATO strap made from elastic nylon material that is commonly used by the Marine Nationale inspired straps. This strap is from vario.sg. Let’s take a look.
This is a single pass NATO strap that has two brushed stainless steel keepers and a brushed stainless steel buckle. The nylon material is 260mm long and roughly 1mm thick.
Here is a shot of the strap on my 7.25 inch wrist. If you have smaller wrist, you can loop the excess length back into the keepers.
As you can see in the picture below, the loops are stitched to the strap and the buckle is engraved with the vario brand logo. I also did a vertical test and found that the watch does not slide down when the strap is held vertically by the buckle.

Final thoughts:
The elastic nylon nato strap by vario.sg is a single pass strap that uses the elastic nylon material that is commonly used by the MN inspired straps. It gives you the look of the elastic nylon material with added advantages of being easy to install and easy to strap onto the wrist.
If you like the material of the MN inspired strap but feel that it is a little difficult to use, this may be a good alternative strap for you.
