The other day, someone asked me for a lume shot of the SRP031. I never get good lume shots with my Canon camera so I decided to make one with my Nokia cellphone. The shot turned out to be quite decent so I decided to try a few more shots with different watches.
Here they are. First, the SBDX011, my latest acquisition.

This time round I take a look at an open heart watch by Orient. This watch is a recent international model that has garnered some interest among Orient fans on the Internet.
The watch is powered by the Orient 46S50 movement which features power reserve at 12, second hand sub-dial at 6 and open heart display at 9. There is no day/date feature in this movement so setting the time is very straightforward because you need not care about the AM and PM.
This movement is also used in the Retro Future Air Plane model as well as some JDM Orient Star models such as the WZ0011FH.

Seiko released a new 4R16 model recently and I had the opportunity to handle one of them.
There regular editions as well as a limited edition in the new series and the watch that I am featuring here is the limited edition model. It is limited to 1000 pieces only.
The model number is SRP040K1.

Orient has signed on as a sponsor for SUBARU TECNICAL INTERNATIONAL INC. (STI), participating in the ADAC Zurich 24h Race. The race will be held on 23th-24th May 2009 in Nurburgring, Germany. It is the largest endurance race in the world with over 200 cars from around the globe participating.
Orient watches will be provided to drivers and team staff and the 24 hours of the race will help Orient evaluate the watches for their functionality and durability.
Below is a ‘Japanese Engine’ advertisement that features the STI Impreza and selected Orient watches. It emphasizes the fact that both the car and the watches are powered by Japan made engine and movement (in the case of the watches).

Seiko released three prodessional divers recently. Two of them are rated 300m (SBBN015 and SBBN017) and one of them 1000m (SBDX011). I should be getting the SBDX011 soon and while waiting, I had the privilege to handle one of the new 300m divers, the SBBN015.
I posted a couple of new Orient watches recently and the 200m diver style watch seems to be the most popular among them. Having enjoyed the watch over the last few days, I now take a look at one of the new dress watches.
The watch I am looking at this time comes from the Classic Automatic line and is an international model.
Here’s a quick photo review of the watch. Three most salient features of this watch if you ask me are: power reserve, sapphire crystal and textured dial.

Some impressions of the new Orient 200m diver style watch.
This watch comes in three colour variants namely black, blue and orange. It is an international model and somehow it was released in Singapore slightly ahead of most countries and I had the opportunity to become one of the first to purchase the watch in this part of the world. All three colour variants are very nice and I picked up the blue one due to lack of blue dial sports watches in my collection. Other than this Orient 200m sports, the other blue dial I have is the blue Samurai.

Besides the black dialed SNZG015J, I also picked up the green dialed version, the SNZG09J. They are the same watch but strap options are very different due to their dial colours.
Some reshuffling took place in my collection recently. I sold some of my 7Sxx watches and got in some recent local market releases from Seiko and Orient. The Orient 300m diver and the Seiko 5 Military have been posted and this time round, I would like to share with you this recent 4R15 release. The model number is SRP031.
