This time round I had the opportunity to try out three TPU rubber straps by cheapestnatostraps.com. They are made with the same material but each has a different style. Let’s take a look.
Strap 1: Rubber Camo
The strap comes with pixelated camouflage pattern. It measures 115mm at the long end and 75mm at the short end excluding the buckle. It is roughly 4mm thick at the lug end and tapers to roughly 2mm at the buckle end. The width of the strap tapers from 22mm at the lug to 20mm at the buckle end.
What I like about this strap is that it is soft and wraps around the wrist very well. It is a very good strap option for Seiko divers because it is able to take the Seiko fat spring bar.
Strap 2: Rubber Strap Tapered
This strap has the look of a padded leather strap except it is made from TPU rubber. There is also a line that runs along its edges to mimic stitching found on leather straps.
It measures 120mm at the long end and 80mm at the short end excluding the buckle. It is almost 5mm thick at the lug end and tapers down towards the buckle end.
This strap has a 4mm tapering. It is 22mm at the lug and 18mm at the buckle.
I think the style of this strap makes it suitable of sports watches as well as hybrid sports/dress watches.
Strap 3: Rubber Strap Flat
The third strap is a minimalist strap that has a flat surface.
It is 120mm at the long nd and 80mm at the short end excluding buckle. It tapers 2mm from 22mm at the lug to 20mm at the buckle. It is 4mm thick, tapering to 3mm at the buckle end.
Besides divers and sports watches, the flat rubber strap can be used with other types of watches including racing, military and pilot watches if you feel like putting a rubber on them.
Overall, the material is flexible and water resistant, making it a suitable strap for sports and casual use.
