Not long ago, I posted some pictures (sent from Andrew of the Philippines) of this watch and its variants and said one of them looks like the Rolex Oyster Quartz. I saw all the variants recently and they don’t really look like Rolex.
Here are some photos of this Seiko 5 model.

I had the opportunity to handle this Seiko 1000m shrouded quartz diver that was made for the international market. This watch is not the same as the current Prospex model SBBN013 because does not have the word “Marinemaster” on its dial. Is it the same as the previous Prospex model, SBBN011 in every aspect? I don’t have the SBBN011 so here are some pictures of the S23619J1 so you can see for yourself.

The 2011 Orient X STI commemorative watches will consist of a quartz chrono and a recently announced M-Force model.
Here, I will take a look at the quartz chronograph model, the first Orient X STI model that uses a quartz movement.

I managed to dig out an Orient Star catalog that was kept somewhere in the house for years. From the back of the catalog, I can see that it was printed in November 2003. This catalog shows the Orient Star Royal and Orient Star models.
I believe Orient Star Royal was renamed as Royal Orient in latter years.

I added a SBBN017 to my collection recently. I normally buy automatic watches but the Seiko Tuna Cans are very hard to resist. One thing about quartz watches is that they are very convenient to use. Unlike automatic watches, I don’t have to set the time on quartz watches when I want to wear them.
