Had the opportunity to handle this Seiko X Nano Universe limited edition Spirit model, SCVE027. This watch belongs to my friend, Jackson Ham (H2 Hub, Century Square) who is kind enough to lend it to me. Seiko has released several variants with different colour combinations. All of them are powered by the 4R35 (date only) movement and are limited to either 300 or 500 pieces.

This particular model is limited to 500 pieces and is characterized by its grey coloured dial and bezel. Here is a quick review.

Dial:
The dial is grey in colour and there is black outline on the hour markers as well as the hour and minute hands, making it pretty legible. The minute chapter ring is quite big, like what you see in some Seiko 5 models.

Bezel:
This part is made of plastic and rotates in both directions without click. In other words, the bezel action is similar to the Fieldmaster or any Seiko with compass bezel.

Case:
The case is stainless steel with a matte finishing. It feels smooth and very nice to touch.

Crown:
Crown has knurled surface and does not screw in. The movement comes with hack and handwind feature.

Crystal:
The watch comes with a flat mineral crystal.

Caseback:
The caseback is fitted with a coloured glass instead of the usual clear glass. Each piece is uniquely numbered as you can see.

You can see the movement under certain lighting condition.

Strap:
The watch is fitted with a nylon nato strap with matte finished hardware.
