Saw a couple of new Orient and Orient Star watches at Big Time today. Shown above is the recent Orient Star GMT model, WZ0071DJ. The blue dial is really nice to look at. This model comes with quickset date and the GMT hand is independently adjustable. Below are other models.
Here is the black dial variant of the Orient Star GMT, WZ0061DJ.
Next is an Orient Star standard model. This model is pretty long live, with new variants coming out every year. This leather strap version, WZ0361EL, is one of the latest.
Next is an Orient Star classic which features open heart, power reserve and second hand sub-dial above the 6 o’clock marker. Here are three variants I saw:

I was set on getting one of those Orient Star GMTs, but when I held it in my hands, somehow it just wasn’t special enough to warrant a purchase. The search for a not-too-expensively-priced mechanical GMT goes on…
