Limited Edition Seiko King Turtle – SRPH38K1 Philippine Sunrise

This time round I had the opportunity to handle the Seiko SRPH38K1, a limited edition King Turtle that is created for the Philippine market. The watch is characterized by its bright yellow dial and gold accent on the bezel and bezel insert. The design or rather choice of colours is said to be inspired by the Philippine sunrise and hence it was given the nickname Philippine Sunrise.

This watch is limited to 1000 pieces and comes with an additional silicone strap. Below are some pictures.

Aries Gold Odyssey (Powered by S. Epson Automatic Movement)

This time round, I had the opportunity to try out and review a watch from Aries Gold, a brand that started off in Singapore. The watch is named Odyssey and is powered by a mechanical movement from S. Epson (I believe stands for Seiko Epson). I understand this is the first time Aries Gold uses a S. Epson movement from Japan and although this is an entry level movement with minimal finishing, the watch has a display back that proudly displays it.

Eclipse Watch by

After reviewing the printed NATO and Harris Tweed straps by in my previous posts, this time I had the opportunity to look at a watch that is designed by the company. This watch is called the Eclipse watch and is shipped with a quartz movement or a mechanical handwind movement.
