Watch Handling: Orient World Time CFA05001B

Orient has signed on as a sponsor for SUBARU TECNICAL INTERNATIONAL INC. (STI), participating in the ADAC Zurich 24h Race. The race will be held on 23th-24th May 2009 in Nurburgring, Germany. It is the largest endurance race in the world with over 200 cars from around the globe participating.

Orient watches will be provided to drivers and team staff and the 24 hours of the race will help Orient evaluate the watches for their functionality and durability.

Below is a ‘Japanese Engine’ advertisement that features the STI Impreza and selected Orient watches. It emphasizes the fact that both the car and the watches are powered by Japan made engine and movement (in the case of the watches).

Watch Handling: Orient CFD0F002B

I posted a couple of new Orient watches recently and the 200m diver style watch seems to be the most popular among them. Having enjoyed the watch over the last few days, I now take a look at one of the new dress watches.

The watch I am looking at this time comes from the Classic Automatic line and is an international model.

Here’s a quick photo review of the watch. Three most salient features of this watch if you ask me are: power reserve, sapphire crystal and textured dial.

The Orient 200m diver style watches – CEM7500**

Some impressions of the new Orient 200m diver style watch.

This watch comes in three colour variants namely black, blue and orange. It is an international model and somehow it was released in Singapore slightly ahead of most countries and I had the opportunity to become one of the first to purchase the watch in this part of the world. All three colour variants are very nice and I picked up the blue one due to lack of blue dial sports watches in my collection. Other than this Orient 200m sports, the other blue dial I have is the blue Samurai.
