This time round, I had the opportunity to handle the Seiko limited edition Sumo, SPB192J1. This watch is limited to 1200 pieces and is only available in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Hong Kong and Macau. These are territories covered by the distributor, Thong Sia Co.
The Seiko Sumo has been around for many years and several regular and limited edition models have been released over the years. This particular one features a brown textured dial, pink gold bezel and hands, as well as a black and red bezel insert. Some people are calling it “root beer” although its design is actually inspired by the Hawksbill Turtle.
Below are some pictures.

Is the Seiko Prospect Limited Edit Sumo model SPB192J1 MADE IN JAPAN?
Is the vessel is made in ceramic or titanium?
Why there is no S logo on the crown?

1. Made in Japan.
2. Ordinary aluminum/steel bezel.
3. Looks like the new Sumo’s do not have S logo on the crown.
