Among the new Seiko 5 models released recently is the SRP605K shown above. There are several colour variants but this blue dialed model seems to be the nicest among them all. It has a matching blue bezel and the outline on the hands and hour marker are gold. A nice colour combination in my opinion.
This model is powered by the 4R36 movement. Here is a quick photo review:
Here are two other variants:
Diameter: 47mm including crown
Lug width: 22mm
Lug to lug: 49.5mm
Water resistance: 100m

Hi Yeoman…this is definitely a great looking watch. Thanks, Paul
Yes, definitely one of the nicer Sport 100 I’ve seen recently.
Hey yeoman, are the end links solid on the bracelet? Thanks!
The end links are folded ones. Refer to the 6th picture.
*whistle* your last 3 posts are nice, must drop by k2 soon… what’s their standard discount for seikos?
K2 only quote nett price.
thanks. i went down to k2 (my first time) to get this but ended up with the SRP555J
i’ll probably nab this next time around 😀
Congrats on the SRP555J.
Hey, Yeoman, greetings from evercold Russia. Big fan of skx007 here. Just wondering is there any chance for a new gen SKX with 4R36 movement? It seems seiko powering almost all of their new “5” and monsters with that movement.
Don’t know when but I hope they make a 4R version of the SKX007 and increase its size.
finally snagged the blue one today. k2 uncle (down to earth guy) had some new variants of this model. gold case/black bezel/gold accents on dial and steel case/steel bezel/red accents on dial
btw, how come uncle don’t give out seikos for the cheaper models? bought 2 4r32 so far but both no box
K2 sells both distributor and parallel imported Seikos. The parallel imported ones do not come with box.
ahhh got it, thanks. for the prices im paying, i shouldnt be complaining hehe. glad i discovered your blog!
ill wait for updates on new ones 🙂
Congrats on your new watch.
thanks for pictures yeoman, i’ve just purchased it as my own gift
Hi yeoman, by any chance is there any marking of seiko branding logo or whatsoever on the bezel of this model?
I’m really wanting to get this, in blue. But I’ve noticed a rather careless ‘Quality Check’ in the blue model (SRP605). Namely, the inner dial markers(specially the one at ‘3’) are misaligned with the ‘Day/Date’ window or ‘Hour’ markers. Every one I’ve seen on eBay, or the stock photo at Jomashop (at 12!), or on Amazon… has some misalignment, sometimes ridiculously obvious. Here too, I see the outer markers under the crystal are off against the ‘Hour’ markers and Date window. But in the final black model (SRP599K), perfectly aligned, Seiko quality. Anyways, thank you for posting such amazing watches, and making sure we don’r missout.
