Besides the Orient Sub, there is another Orient model that pays homage to the classic Rolex design and that is the CER1P004B0. This watch looks like the Rolex Datejust although the level of similarity is not as close as its Sandoz, Titoni and Bulova counterparts.
Below is a side-by-side shot of the Rolex and Orient.
The Orient uses similar styled watch case and crown to create the “lookalike” factor. The other parts of the watch including dial, hands, bezel and bracelet are completely different as you can see in the picture above.
The picture below shows the side profile of the Orient. The side of the case is again similar to the Rolex.
I am not going to compare the two watches because there is no comparison. So I’ll just show some salient features of the Orient.
Below is a close up shot of the dial. It is textured at the centre and has the Orient logo and Sapphire crystal symbol on it. The watch uses sword hands similar to those of the Grand Seiko.
The watch is not fitted with a jubilee or oyster style bracelet. If you want those designs, you will have to source your own bracelet. Here’s how the bracelet looks like.
The bracelet comes with folding clasp with push button lock. It is 20mm and tapers to 18mm at the clasp.
Solid caseback and signed crown.
Diameter – 39mm (36mm w/o crown)
Thickness – approx 11mm
Lug width – 20mm
