Here is the latest Orient Sun and Moon model that I handled recently. It has a Sun and Moon sub-dial on the dial which acts as a AM/PM indicator. When setting the time, this features serves as a guide. For example, when you want to set the time to 4pm, the Sun should shown on the sub-dial since it is daytime.

Here’s a quick look at the ET0T001W.

This particular variant has a beige coloured dial with black Roman hour markers and black hands. The dial and sub-dials are beautifully designed with different textures on them.

On this watch, the Sun on the sub-dial is at the center position at 12 noon and starts to disappear at around 6.30pm which is the time the Moon starts to appear. The Moon reaches the center at 12 midnight and day/date change occurs at this point. The Moon starts to disappear at roughly 6.30am and the Sun starts to appear.

Below are two dial shots showing the Sun and Moon at their center position respectively. Notice that the background for the Moon is dark blue while that for the Sun is light blue.

Below are the side profile and lugs shots. This model comes with a signed crown. It is fitted with a slightly curved Sapphire crystal. It has a nice and simple case design with layered effect on the lugs.

The case design, textured dial and sub-dials, Sun and Moon feature, and the Roman numerals combined to create a very elegant watch.

Caseback shots:

The caseback indicates that the watch is made in Japan using Orient 46B46 movement. This movement does not hack and handwind. It comes with quick set date only. (no quick set for day)
