This time round I handled the Seiko Presage SPBF43J1. This is the latest Cocktail time model that is powered by the 4R35 movement. There is also a green dialed version (SRPF41J1) which I did not get hold of. They are limited 7000 pieces each.

Below are some of my thoughts on this watch.

Limited edition – 7000 pieces seem to be a large quantity to be called a limited edition. They should have called it a Special Edition instead.

Size – The original Cocktail Time model has a diameter of 40.5mm while this model is a downsized version with a diameter of 38.5mm. I think anything between 39mm to 40mm would be an ideal size. 38.5mm is a bit small.

Dial – Very nice texture on the dial. Gold hour markers and hands go very well with the brown dial.

Strap – nice to see that they are starting to use quick release spring bars.
