Here are some pictures of the Seiko Prospex SRPC48J. This watch belongs to my friend who got it in Hong Kong. It is basically a Seiko Turtle with black case and gold accents. It is interesting to note that the minute hand has gold outline while the hour hand has black outline. The second hand has a mixture of gold and black colours.

And with a Chinese day wheel too, rare on a Seiko.

Interesting version of the reissue turtle. Just wondering about a few details. The dial says “Made in Japan,” so is this a JDM piece? At the caseback it states “limited edition.” Any idea how many pieces are being released?

This is not a JDM piece. In fact, this piece is from Taiwan/Hong Kong/China region. It has a Chinese day wheel. It says “Limited Edition” behind but it has a standard serial number instead of something like XXXX/YYYY where YYYY is the number of pieces made. I think this is just a limited production model.

This is a really elusive model. Your pictures are really the only ones of this model I could Google.
