Photo Review: Seiko Presage – SARD007

Finally saw the new JDM Seiko Presage with enamel dial at Big Time last Saturday. Two of these models were released, namely the SARX027 with 6R15 movement and the SARD007 with 6R24 double retrograde movement.

Here is a quick photo review of the SARD007.

  1. Thomas, I bought this watch directly from Japan. It is a beautiful watch. The enamelled dial give the face a nice glossly finish and the double retrograde is a desire complication. I told myself beginning of this year I need to get the two new Seiko Urushi watches (SARX029 ad SARW013) and the four new Seiko white enamelled watches (SARW0011 and SARX010; and SARX027 and SARD007). I just have one more to go !!! I want to do when the Yen is cheap. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Danny

  2. I’m really like the style and quality of Seiko watches, especially JDM models. But… Even high quality models like “presage”, Seiko missing some luxury details and touch (especially back and rotor). Some cheaper swiss watchs have more detailed works on backside of watch, rotor and mechanism showing. For example this models is one of the most detailed backs but still not enought (of course Grand Seiko is out of leauge) .

    • Agree completely. Seiko makes great movements hut their finishing is second rate. The 6R15 attempt at decoration on the rotor is weak compared to an Orient Star. It is very plain looking. Very plain.

  3. Dear Sir,
I’m interested in your SARD007 JDM Seiko Presage with enamel dial.
And would like to know how much dates it cost.

    Thanks.

    Best Regards,

  4. Hello Yeoman!

It seems I am too late by 5 years. Do you have an idea where I can get this piece?

    Greetings from Cologne (Germany)!
