Here is a military inspired Seiko 5 that was released a few months ago. Its large minute chapter ring reminds me of the 7S36 model (SNZG07J, SNZG09J, etc) from several years back. This watch however, has a bigger crown for hand winding since it is powered by the 4R36 instead of the 7S36 movement.

Shown below is a picture of the SNZG07J. I prefer the font used on the hour markers here to that of the 4R36 model. The 7S model has 24 hour markings on its dial while the 4R model has a thicker bezel with the 24 hour markings on it. Dial appears to be slightly less cluttered.

The 4R model has wider hands but the hands on the 7S model are just right for its dial. Unlike the 7S model, the 4R model has minute numerals (05, 10, 15, 20…) instead of luminous bars on the minute chapter ring. Below is a comparison of the lume.

Although it does not have the matte finishing of the 7S model, the 4R model has a nicer shape, particular the lug area. The lugs are drilled through and appear longer yet do not create a gap between the strap and the case.

The SRP515K comes with a nice nylon strap with metal keepers.

I believe the 4R model is one to two millimetre bigger than the 7S model due to its bezel.
