It has been a while since I last posted a Seiko 5 model on this blog. Very few models were released in the last two to three months. This model is the latest in the market as of April 2013. Here are some quick shots of the watch.
This watch is distributed in Singapore by the distributor, Thong Sia Co. Below is the list price in Singapore currency.

What is the main difference between Seiko 5 and another (not 5) Seiko Automatic watches? Sorry if I’m newbie on watches..

Seiko 5 is the entry level product line for Seiko automatic watches. They are powered by the 4Rxx movement or 7Sxx movement in the past.
Other “non 5” Seiko automatic watches come from product lines like Mechancal, Presage, Ananta, Prospex and Grand Seiko. These watches have better movements and finishing.

Yes the hands are virtually the same as those used on the stargate , nice piece .
