Few months ago, I posted a pictorial review of an Orient watch with the classic design of the 50’s (ER24005W). It is known as the Orient Bambino now. Besides the classic model, there is another model with a modern design which I thought I should blog about. The specimen that I have here has a rose gold and black dial. Model number is ER27002B.
Here’s a pictorial review.
Dial: Very similar to the Bambino except it is not ball shaped. The markers and layout of the logo and text are similar to the Bambino.
Side profile: Polished finishing with unsigned crown.
Crystal: Flat mineral glass crystal.
Caseback: See-through caseback. Glass has a greenish tint.
Strap: Leather strap with signed buckle.
Diameter: 41mm excluding crown
Thickness: 11.5mm
Lug width: 22mm
I don’t have a list of all variants are available. There are a few in this post but they are not complete.

Yes, it’s quite a decent watch.

Thomas — why do you reckon these are half the price of the bambino?

They are not half the price of the Bambino for sure.

pretty close for us in the states. bambino = $200 or so. classic = $115

Wow….Didn’t know why they are priced so differently. Is there anything in the Bambino that makes it cost more?

solid back :-)? i really think the bambino is highly collectable. it’s got all the appeal of, say, an old omega but is larger for today’s style. i plan to pick up a rose gold version to complement my SS bambino. the classic is too cheap not to buy at least one too.

Agree that the Bambino is highly collectible. I have the ss and rose gold models.
