Seiko 5 Sports – SRP249J

Not long ago, I posted some pictures (sent from Andrew of the Philippines) of this watch and its variants and said one of them looks like the Rolex Oyster Quartz. I saw all the variants recently and they don’t really look like Rolex.

Here are some photos of this Seiko 5 model.

Diameter: 39mm excluding crown
Thickness: 11.5mm
Lug width: integrated bracelet

Here are the pictures from Andrew:

The Natos come with a signed Seiko buckle. The watches have a display back. I decided to get the Apple green one.

  4. Thanks yeoman,

    Is this movement recommended?
Any other models you think that it’s better than this one.
Kinda like it coz it has that baby monster look. 🙂

I also like those black bracelet types, but i notice new ones keep coming with gold lines.

    • The movement comes with every new Seiko 5 model. Its a low cost movement with hack and handwind. A better watch would be the upcoming new Monster that has 200m water resistance.

  5. This watch reminds of my first Seiko 5 , it was cheap to purchase but of good quality vs cost ratio . It was bullet proof , just kept on going .
