G-Shock/Baby-G Catalog (US Market) from the 90s

Here’s an old G-Shock catalog that I got hold of recently. I can’t find the year printed anywhere on it but I believe this catalog is from anywhere between 1996-1998. The address found on its back cover indicates that it is a US catalog.

Orient Star Catalog from 2003

I managed to dig out an Orient Star catalog that was kept somewhere in the house for years. From the back of the catalog, I can see that it was printed in November 2003. This catalog shows the Orient Star Royal and Orient Star models.

I believe Orient Star Royal was renamed as Royal Orient in latter years.

Singapore Skyline in the new Seiko Criteria Chronograph Ad

Shown above is the current Seiko Criteria ad featuring the 2nd generation Wang LeeHom chronograph. A new ad is created every time a new Criteria chronograph model is released.

This particular ad shows the Singapore skyline in its background and I think it should be documented here because you don’t see the Singapore skyline or any Singapore landmark appearing in a watch ad very often.

Grand Seiko available in Singapore during the 60′s and 70′s

Most of us believe that Grand Seiko’s were only sold in Japan during the 60′s and 70′s. Today, I would like to share some old newspaper advertisements which suggest that one or two models were available in Singapore during that period. These ads were placed on our local newspaper, The Straits Times between 1969 to early 1970.
